Reported from Sharp Island, Hoi Ha Wan, Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 94637); Yan Chau Tong, and Cape D'Aguilar (Ref. 129329). Also reported from Sha Ha. Juveniles recorded from Starfish Bay, Kei Ling Ha Lo Wai, and Nam Wai (Ref. 125515). The species was observed more than 200 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494).
